Site
The Spirit Trail is envisioned as a multi-use trail that will connect the entire North Shore from Horseshoe Bay to Deep Cove with a waterfront oriented greenway. This project examines the part of the trail within the City of North Vancouver.
Problem Statement
The trail traverses several different land uses from industrial to urban waterfront to naturalized park. The goal is to provide recreation and transportation opportunities for everyone while finding ways to unify the character of this trail.
Design Solution
Following a thorough analysis of the existing site conditions, a conceptual plan and design that identifi ed the character, scope, and budget for this trail was completed. A detailed design of one portion of the trail has also been completed.
