Zloty-Flegal Residence
   Site: Located on the west side of Vancouver, this corner lot slope both from South to North and from West to East. There is one significant Magnolia tree to be relocated and several large existing street trees to protect.

Problem Statement: To design a contemporary landscape that is unified with the architecture. The intent is to create a strong connection between in- and outdoors.

The clients also requested that there be both private outdoor spaces and a landscape that is visually accessible from within the home.

Design Solution: The landscape has been terraced to provide outdoor living spaces that relate to the architecture. The upper terrace is designed for outdoor entertaining and the lower terrace is focused on recreation. Separating these spaces is a garden planted on the slope adding to the neighbourhood character.
