Site:
A new dwelling constructed on a small lot in West Vancouver.
Problem Statement: To provide a
landscape serving as a play space for children, for outdoor
entertaining and for garden plots that use sustainable design
principles.
Design Solution: The design creates
a change in grade to establish a dry creek bed. The creek bed
divides the space in the rear yard and functions as play feature. This
creates zones for entertaining, play and gardening in the rear yard.
The plant materials are predominately native species that require
little maintenance, and the wood is untreated eliminating the use of
harmful toxins. |
