A new dwelling constructed on a sloping site in a residential neighbourhood in West Vancouver.

Problem Statement

The site sloped up from front to back. The client requested a dwelling that was integrated into the landscape and wouldn’t be imposing at the entry.

Design Solution

We worked with the client to set the building into the slope to take advantage of grading to reduce the scale of the house. Additionally we were ableto use the grade to create intimate exterior spaces around the house.
